Island Movements was devised by Patrick Williams, who danced with Rudolf Nureyev the Paris Opera and Darren Panton, the first Black British dancer to graduate from the boarding school at Royal Ballet School.

This version was choreographed by Greta Mendez MBE, who danced with Scottish Ballet, and Shevelle Dynott, who graduated from the Royal Ballet School in the 90's and then joined English National Ballet.

Featuring original music by the groundbreaking Kinetika Bloco, the soundtrack is a pulsating mix of reggae, calypso and contemporary Black British music.
